John trained at the Metanoia in Person Centred Counselling, and Gestalt Psychotherapy. He is an experienced trainer having been the course team leader on the BACP accredited Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling at Central Sussex College, and a visiting trainer for Matrix College in East Anglia. John trained with Bert Hellinger, Hunter Beaumont, and Judith Hemming in family systems therapy, and has had several years experience running family constellation workshops. John's interest in this work is part of a wider interest in the spiritual dimension of psychotherapy. He has run workshops on the Kabbalah, and has studied Healing, Tantra, and Chi Gong, which has led to a deepening understanding of the connection between body, mind, soul, and spirit. John has a private practice in West Sussex working with individuals, couples and groups.
John's other great passion is sailing and designing yachts. He has been running
his own Yacht Design office since 1978 and still finds time to continue to develop new designs and
thinking in the field. For more about his designs go to
